A study published last month found that about 15% of those with previous COVID-19 infections experience continued symptoms of long COVID. Long COVID was found to be more common among women, and prevalence of long COVID also increased with age over 40. The good news is the long COVID risk diminished for those who had a completed primary series of vaccination prior to infection, so stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccination!

Novavax recently shared new data that its new booster, which is designed to target the Omicron variant of the coronavirus, produces a strong immune response against the original strain of the coronavirus as well as omicron variants. While not yet approved for use in the U.S., Novavax may soon be able to provide another option for staying up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccination.
