- The Inflation Reduction Act recently passed by the U.S Congress includes measures to cap vaccine and drug costs. For example, all vaccines, including COVID-19 vaccines, recommended by the federal Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will be fully covered by Medicare, Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The cost of insulin for Medicare beneficiaries will be capped at $35 per month.
- Migrant Clinicians Network (MCN) recently published a blog about El Vinculo Hispano’s continued work to elevate the concerns of immigrant workers who still face COVID-19 risks on the job. Both MCN and El Vinculo Hispano are PPP partners!
- According to CDC data, Black, Latine, American Indian and Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander community members are less likely to have received a first or second booster than their white or Asian peers. This gap demonstrates the need to continue to promote up-to-date vaccination against COVID-19, and we are grateful for all of YOU, our partners, whose outreach to community members is critical in offering them the highest level of protection against COVID-19.
