  • The COVID-19 global death toll surpassed 6 million today, meaning that approximately 1 in every 1,300 people has died of COVID-19. This number is a sobering reminder that the pandemic continues to impact people around the world, and bringing the pandemic to an end will require our ongoing collective effort.
  • Partnering for Vaccine Equity has created this Spanish-language toolkit that offers resources like this video that you can share to help community members understand how to identify sources with trustworthy COVID-19 vaccine information.
  • The CDC reported an increasing gap in vaccination between urban and rural counties (first dose coverage of 75.4% and 58.5%, respectively). The gap is particularly pronounced among children. This new data supports the need to continue vaccination campaigns and conversations with hesitant community members.
  • Our partner, Migrant Clinicians Network, recently published this blog in English and Spanish that answers frequently asked questions from clinicians who serve migrants, immigrants, and food and farm workers.

Maryland

  • The Dorchester County Department of Health recently published these bilingual flyers in English and Spanish with their COVID-19 vaccination clinic schedules for the month of March. Additionally, at-home vaccination is available on Fridays for those who cannot leave their homes. For at-home appointments, call 410-228-0235.

  • The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services has a communications toolkit with vaccination information available in multiple languages, including Spanish, Arabic, Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese (Mandarin), and Russian. It’s not too late to help others get vaccinated!
  • Pediatrician Maradiaga Panayotti explains that COVID-19 vaccines do not negatively affect children ages 5 and up in these videos in English and Spanish by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
