  • A win for workers in the poultry industry: The U.S. Dept. of Labor recovered over $300,000 in overtime pay for poultry catchers in Alabama and North Carolina.
  • A new U.S.-Mexico Return of Migrant Wages Pilot Program will increase coordination between the Mexican government and the U.S. Dept. of Labor. The program will help to identify migrant workers who are owed wages from work in the U.S. and may have returned to Mexico.

Opportunities

  • As many migrant workers prepare to come to the U.S. for seasonal work, CDM is offering a workshop in Spanish at 6 PM tomorrow, March 29, to educate workers about fraud and labor rights. Learn more and register here.
  • Join OSHA this Thursday, March 30 at 10 AM for their U&T Visa Certification Program  Kickoff. The program aims to support workers, regardless of immigration status, who report workplace health and safety concerns. Register here.
